Biography

UK Based Paddy James, like all classic singer/songwriters, thrives on stories found in the mischief and melancholy of everyday life. His efforts are contemporary yet drawn from influences rooted in folk, rock, pop & soul. Paddy describes a certain ‘nostalgic optimism’ in his writing style that aims to deliver an ever hopeful and honest message.

At the heart of everything lies his powerful, dynamic vocal which has drawn comparisons to the likes of Jeff Buckley & Paolo Nutini. Anybody who has witnessed a live performance will understand this magic and gentle charm only too well.

For his most recent recorded efforts James has teamed up with Isle of White production duo Boe Weaver (Rhys Lewis, Whyte Horses) all of which have been championed by BBC introducing & Amazing Radio. The latter part of 2023 sees the next batch of releases from this continued collaboration starting with indie stomper ‘Closer’ following his SOLD OUT headline London show at the Bedford in Balham on November 1st.
